Frequently Asked Questions

What is “United Initiatives for Peace” (UIP)?
I’m glad you asked that. UIP is an umbrella organization that offers numerous programs focusing on female empowerment and higher education. Although UIP has no limits as to what it can do, where it can go, or whom it can serve – UIP’s primary ambition is to offer innovative opportunities for young women to manifest and capitalize on their unique creativity. Visit our “Initiatives” link for more program details.
What’s the “Invest” button all about on the website?
Great question. The way I see it, all donations to UIP are investments for a higher purpose. Since UIP does not have any salaried employees, only volunteers, you can assure that 100% of your monetary funds will go directly to communities that we are actively serving. [UIP is a public charity organization and is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501©3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Your contributions are deductible under section 170 of the Code to the extent allowed by law]
Is UIP sponsored by any governmental, educational, religious, or corporate organizations?
I love answering this question. No, UIP is an independent public charity that is not associated with any other organization. With that said, UIP strives to unite and build amicable relations with different governmental and non-governmental entities in order to strengthen and empower communities and reach the needs of all people.
What does the UIP Hand Logo represent?
This is a complex question. The entire bona fide answer has many hidden convoluted idiosyncrasies and ambiguous mind-boggling theories. In layman’s terms, it is the human helping hand symbolizing ‘compassion in action’. The deep blue color is in reference to the depth of our oceans and the vastness of the sky – also signifying the many dualities found within the world - yin and yang, mystery and clarity, physicality and spirituality, etcetera, etcetera.
Rarely Asked Questions

Is UIP the organization that the United Nations, Oprah, and CNN are endorsing?
Hmmm, not yet. But that sounds like a great idea.
If you could have any superpower what would it be?
Well, besides the ones I already possess... I would love to be able to speak and read all languages (this includes all tribal languages, dialects, baby jibber jabber, and imaginary words and codes), as well as have Chameleonization powers. You know, so I can instantly blend into any environment, culture, civilization, society, people, nation, world, and cosmos. Oh yes, that would be splendid.
You’re pretty much “The Man” when it comes to basketball.
Do you dominate at any other sports?

Oh, thank you. And yes, I do. I excelled in Track & Field and Cross Country during high school, played 1 year of Water Polo in college, and ran the 2005 ING NYC Marathon and the 2009 NYC Nautica Triathlon. I am also a killer snowboarder and enjoy a good game of flag football (ultimate wide receiver). They used to call me “Diesel” – for good reason.
Will you marry me?
Funny you asked that. This is not as rarely asked as one might think. One of my proposals came with an offer of 20,000 camels in exchange for my hand. Another of my proposals came with an offer of 50,000 camels. I just thought that was way too many animals, so I said no.
